Real Talk

Got Questions. We Got Answers.

How does RideNow make money with zero fees?

We charge the winning dealer a small commission. You — the seller — pay nothing. Ever. Inspection, valuation, and ownership transfer are all on us.

What if my bike doesn't sell?

If no dealer matches your locked-in price, you walk away. No obligation, no fees. We'll give you market feedback so you can decide what to do next.

What does the 50-point inspection cover?

Engine, transmission, brakes, electrics, frame, tyres, paperwork, and more. It's a standardised report dealers trust — which is why they bid confidently.

How is my payout price determined?

Our AI uses live market data, condition score from inspection, and demand from our dealer network. You see the locked-in minimum before bidding starts.

How long does the whole process take?

Most sellers go from form submission to bank payout within 7 days. Inspection happens within 48 hours, bidding takes 2–3 days, payout is within 24 hours of acceptance.

Bike Eligibility
What types of bikes can be sold on RideNow?

RideNow generally accepts most bikes registered in Malaysia, subject to inspection results, document verification and ownership validation. Eligible bikes include: privately owned bikes registered under your name; used bikes in running condition; bikes with valid registration documents; local and imported models; vintage or classic bikes; and bikes under hire purchase / with outstanding loan balance (subject to settlement process).

What bikes are not accepted on RideNow?

Certain bikes may not qualify for listing or dealer bidding, including but not limited to: bikes with incomplete or invalid ownership documents; bikes involved in major accidents or flood damage; modified bikes; bikes with tampered chassis or engine numbers; blacklisted or stolen bikes; non-running bikes or bikes with severe structural damage; bikes pending ownership disputes or legal issues; and extremely old bikes with limited dealer demand or unavailable documentation.

Can I sell a bike that still has an outstanding loan?

Yes. Bikes under hire purchase or with an outstanding financing balance are accepted, subject to inspection results, documentation verification and settlement procedures.

Do I need to be the owner of the bike?

Yes. The bike should be registered under your name, and ownership verification is required during the transaction process.

Inspection
How do I book an inspection?

You will also receive a WhatsApp confirmation once your booking is successfully submitted.

Is the inspection free?

Yes! RideNow provides inspection services at no cost to you.

Can I reschedule or cancel an inspection?

Yes, you may reschedule or cancel your inspection by contacting our RideNow Customer Care team at +603 7664 8508.

Where are the inspection locations?

We come to you — wherever is most convenient for you.

How detailed is the inspection?

Our inspection covers comprehensive checkpoints to provide dealers with a clear understanding of your bike's condition.

What do I need to prepare for the inspection?

Simply prepare your NRIC, bike registration details, keys/spare keys (if any), and ownership documents. A clean bike also helps provide a smoother and more accurate inspection process. We'll guide you through the rest.

What happens after inspection?

After inspection is completed and your bike meets all the necessary requirements, your bike details and inspection report will be shared with RideNow's dealer ecosystem for bidding. Once bidding is completed, RideNow will present the best available offer for your consideration.

Can I still use my bike after inspection?

Yes, you may continue using your bike until the sale is confirmed, provided the bike remains in the same condition as inspected.

What if my bike condition changes after inspection?

Offers will be revised if the bike's condition changes after inspection.

Pricing & Bidding
How is my bike priced?

Once you submit your bike details on RideNow, your bike will first receive an estimated valuation. If you are agreeable to the indicative pricing after an inspection is completed, your bike will then proceed into RideNow's real dealer bidding ecosystem, where verified dealers compete with actual market-driven offers — not guesswork. Our goal is to help you achieve the best possible market value, ideally matching your asking price.

How does bidding work?

Dealers compete for your bike, and we will present you with the best available offer.

What are the current bidding session hours?

Currently, RideNow has 2 bidding sessions on Mondays to Fridays, excluding weekends and public holidays (9:00am – 1:00pm and 2:00pm – 6:00pm).

Payment & Vehicle Ownership Transfer (VOT)
When will I receive payment for my bike?

Payment processing will commence once: (1) a dealer has successfully won the bid for your motorcycle; (2) you have accepted the final bid price; and (3) the final inspection, motorcycle collection, and ownership transfer have been successfully completed by the RideNow team. For motorcycles with no outstanding loan, payment is typically made within 1 working day from the ownership transfer date. For motorcycles with an existing loan balance, additional time may be required for settlement with the respective bank or financing institution — in such cases, payment is typically made within 2–3 working days.

How will I get paid?

Payments are made securely via bank transfer.

How fast is the vehicle ownership transfer (VOT)?

Ownership transfer can usually be completed on the spot during bike collection.

Who handles VOT?

Ownership transfer is handled by our authorised ecosystem partner, TwoCar Sdn Bhd by MyEG.

Do I need to pay for VOT?

No worries! You do not need to pay for the VOT handling, as it is included as part of the transaction process.
